Dôlafon Duckling’s is a small pre-school located in Ysgol Dôlafon. We can take up to 16 children a day and run three mornings a week (Monday to Wednesday). Please get in touch if you require further information or would like to drop in for a visit!

We aim to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children feel happy, confident and supported to explore, play and take appropriate risks.
We deliver child centred approach to learning and play, building on the children’s interests. We focus our planning and continuous provision on the children’s needs and interests to support the development of the whole child.
We strongly believe in the importance of igniting a love for learning and exploration. We provide a ‘free flow’ setting, allowing the children to have access to indoor and outdoor classroom all year round. Children’s wellbeing is paramount to us, ensuring they are happy and feel safe and respected is something we strive to achieve. This was reflected in our successful Estyn report in 2022 (see link below).

Funding and cost of sessions
We receive funding for your child’s place from the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership.
Funded places are available form beginning of the term after your child’s 3rd birthday; for example, if your child turns 3 years old in November 2023 their funded space would be available from January 2024.
Children may join the setting at any point between the actual date of their 3rd birthday and the beginning of the term immediately after their 3rd birthday on a fee-paying basis of £10 per session. This provision is subject to availability as funded children are given priority.
